Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down Kendy Almanzar, a non-custodial parent who police say abducted her children Saturday afternoon.
Almanzar apparently took her children from a park at de Coubertin Ave. and Theodore St. in Hochelaga Maisonneuve at 1 p.m. in a 1999 grey Dodge Caravan, licence plate FGH 6398.
Almanzar is 115 lbs. and stands five feet six. She has black hair and black eyes, and was wearing black clothing. She is from the Dominican Republic and is of Hispanic descent.
She does not have custody of her children and was due to meet them in a park under supervision at the time of the abduction.
Her children are a boy, 12, and a girl, 8.
The boy is five feet two, 80 lbs. with brown hair and a black t-shirt.
The girl is three feet three, 50 lbs. and was wearing a long-sleeve red shirt.
Police did not issue an Amber Alert because the mother has never been violent with the children and they do not fear for their safety.
Anyone who has seen Almanzar or her children is urged to call 9-1-1.

Almanzar apparently took her children from a park at de Coubertin Ave. and Theodore St. in Hochelaga Maisonneuve at 1 p.m. Saturday, but was found Sunday at 2:30 p.m., said police.
Almanzar does not have custody of her children -- a boy, 12, and a girl, 8 -- and was due to meet them in a park under supervision at the time of the alleged abduction.
Police did not issue an Amber Alert because the mother has never been violent with the children and they do not fear for their safety.
Almanzar is returning to Montreal, where police said they may file charges against her.
A 35-year-old Montreal woman has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after being charged in connection with the alleged abduction of her two children.
The children were found safe and sound the next day at their ex-stepfather's home in Hawkesbury, Ont. Ontario Provincial Police located the two kids when they arrived at the man's home just after 2:30 p.m.
Almanzar was charged with two counts of kidnapping and one charge of mischief.
The crown requested the psychiatric evaluation to see if she is fit to stand trial.
The case is back in court at the beginning of the week.
The children are now in the custody of their aunt with the father's consent.
